Get ready to be frozen by this Google Doodle

Google is back with another doodle to mark the Winter Solstice of 2018 (21st December 2018). As you might know, Winter Solstice is the shortest day and longest night of the year for the Earth’s Northern Hemisphere.

The doodle gives you an instant effect of something cold and freezing. It shows a freezing lake in which a little kiddo is playing around trying to catch some snowflakes. But he is unable to reach the flakes as he is too short. That’s when an interesting and cute little monster breaks out of the lake and lifts the little kid on its shoulder to help him catch the flake. It’s a nice little scene.

I like the really cold and frozen look which the doodle gives. I like the really cold and freezed look which the doodle gives. The hole created by the monster in the lake can be taken to represent the third ‘O’ in the Google name maybe. Or maybe not.

The doodle motion feels slow as well with little jerks in between. But the slow motion somehow adds to the coldness and suspense.
